The discovery of a new strain of Corona virus (Covid-19), which was named with the code (B 1.640.2)
The "Medrxive" Journal of Health Sciences reported that a study was conducted on 12 people, conducted by scientists from the Institute of Infectious Diseases in Marseille (IHU), and its results showed the presence of a new strain of the virus.
She pointed out that "the new species, which was named with the code (B.1.640.2), was first discovered last November in a person who returned from Cameroon.
The magazine added, "According to the scientists, analysis of the viral genome revealed the presence of 46 mutations," which could make it more resistant to vaccines and more contagious than the original virus.
The discovery of the new mutation comes in light of the world's preoccupation with the outbreak of the "Omicron" mutation, which the World Health Organization has classified as "worrying because of its many mutations that increase the risks of transmission."
It is noteworthy that the largest number of infections with the micron boom was recorded in the United States, Britain, France and Italy, where the number of infections in the United States exceeded one million people, while the total number of infections in France since the outbreak of the epidemic, to more than 10 and a half million people.
